Elizabeth Schippert
She was born in NJ. After graduating in Fine Art and Biology at Emmanuel College in Boston, Lizzi went on to study at the Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico; at the School of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston and the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore. She focused on classical techniques in printmaking, figure and portrait drawing & painting, Japanese and Chinese calligraphy. A professional artist since 1973, Lizzi has exhibited her work in over 35 Solo Exhibitions nationwide, in Sweden, Japan and the Caribbean, with five shows in NYC. An award-winning artist in several media, Lizzi has exhibited in group and invitational events for the past 35 years. Her work is held in museum and public venues in Sweden, in public, corporate and private collections nationwide and beyond. Together with her husband Sven Widen, Lizzi teaches ongoing classes at Art Alliance in all classical drawing and painting media. She also leads Plein Air Workshops.
